How is everyone doing? I'm doing pretty good, just going to school and slaving away for SHOUT as usual.
I was really sad to find out last Saturday that a good friend of mine had passed away. He was one of the amazing people that I met in Newport and I'll never forget him. I'd rather not go into the specifics of his death just because it's not necessary. The point is he's gone and all any of us can do is keep his memory alive.
It's hard to make sense of things like this, especially when the person is so young. People may say he's in a better place, which he is, but that still doesn't take away the truth that he was only 16 and had his WHOLE life ahead of him. At first I was really depressed asking "why, what if, etc" but as the days went on, I realized that that's not how Tyler would want me to live. Actually just the opposite. I have a feeling if he knew that we were mourning our lives away, he'd be yelling. He was always one of those people that was always there for others. He was an amazing person and I'm never going to forget him.
